A single record is created for each reported incident, against which a history of ensuing actions and involvements can be recorded
This initial record:-
Allocates an Incident Reference Number
Records the source and time of the initial contact information
Classifies the incident
Allocates the type of incident
Holds a brief description of the incident together with it location on the Road Network
Identifies the manager in Charge
Facilitates the entry and storage of all subsequent direct and third party involvement
Records the date and time that the incident was closed
