Overview

This section outlines the facility to Import prepared Labour and Plant Allocation data from an Excel file.  The Import Facility takes the contents of the source file, reads the allocation data and saves it in a Temporary Data table for study and correction.  HighStone links the data entries to all Staff Name, Plant and Works Order records in the main system.

Once the source data has been checked and validated, HighStone will prepare a set of full Labour / Plant Allocations sheets.  These prepared sheets can be opened, viewed and printed in the normal manner.

A single Import may be re-run, revised as often as necessary until such time as the entered data is 'Submitted' and 'Approved' in the usual manner.  Once this step has been taken, the associated Labour and Plant Costs are allocated to Scheme Cost profiles, and further direct editing of the values is prevented.
